Luna Hair Straightener Brush

The product is a 2 in 1 product. It has technology to heat up quick called the Positive Temperature Coefficient. The PTC allows the brush to heat up in less than one minute. This feature is great for people who are in a rush. Especially in the mornings. Because the bristles are wrapped in ceramic the brush has a faster heat up time. It works by simply plugging it in, wait a minute and then start brushing. There are no complicated settings to go through. The other technology use is called the Ionic Generator. this feature leaves your hair shiner, healthier and smoother after styling. The brush ceramic bristles work to massage your head and scalp as you run the brush through your hair.

The Luna or gen 4 was newly designed to work better on thick, long or curly hair.

It has new bristles and 7 levels of temperature controls so you can pick the perfect temperature for your hair type. This also allows you to create the perfect style for your particular hair.

Frequently asked questions

Question: How do you turn it off, when I use the button it doesn't turn off?

Answer: Press on the button until it turns itself off. It may take a few seconds for this to happen. Also unplug when not in use.

Question: Can I use Argan oil or heat protective oil?

Answer: Yes, its recommended that you apply a heat protector such as Argan or coconut oil.

Question: What's the difference between the 4 model and the 3.0?

Answer: As frs as I can tell the difference is the gene 4 is a somewhat lighter and heats to 450 degrees where as the gen 3 heats to 410 degrees. There may be other differences that I am not aware of.

Most people are going to like the brush. It gets favorable reviews. I believe most people moving from a flat iron, using this brush they will be skeptical at first but after using a few times and getting the hang of it will like it's performance. It smooths and straightens while maintaining body and fullness. With shoulder length hair it takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes in most cases.

It seems to work well on African American hair that is not too short. Your hair has to be long enough for the brush part to make good contact with your hair. Most mid-length hair should be OK.

Wavy or curly hair is no problem. Wash your hair, dry as usual then do a comb trough and then use the brush. Your results should be nice and straight. You may need to spend a little long time on the ends.

Asavea Hair Straightening Brush 4 Conclusion

I like this product and think with a price point around $44.00 is good. Price on the manufacture's website is $59.99. At $60.00. I think the price is a little too much considering other very similar products are on the market in the $30.00 to $40.00 price rang at the time of this writing. However (at the time of this writing) we were unable to find one for purchase. We did find the Glaze Asavea Hair Straightening Brush. Looks like this might be a newer model or maybe an upgrade, not sure. Maybe that's why we were not able to find a gen 4 for sale, not sure. The manufacture's website does not have much product information as compared to other manufacturer websites so its hard to tell. At any rate, if you can get your hands on one it seems to be a good buy and will perform as anticipated. I would not recommend purchasing a used one.

In most cases if you are spending forty minutes on your hair using this brush can cut your time down to around fifteen minutes or so. You may need to spend a little more time on the ends. This product is a great time saver.

I also found that by using a small amount of Argan oil helps protect your hair while brushing. It also makes detangling easier and lets the brush glide through your hair much easier. It can also be used a a leave in conditioner. It's a 2-in-1 product that saves time while protecting your hair. I like Argan oil because it does not smell strong. It's not overpowering. It has a pleasant smell.

Please note there are other hair brush manufactures that do not recommend using any oil at all with their product. So just because this product recommends the use of hair protectants does not mean it's OK for other brushes.

At the time of this writing it's OK to use a hair protectant oil with the gen 4 brush but please make sure you read the manufacturers instructions prior to use and not no rely on this website.
